RENDEZVOUS CAMPING RULES
  • This is a working sheep ranch; therefore, Any dogs brought onto the property MUST be on a leash at all times and MUST be inside your camping unit at night.
  • NO LOADED firearms are permitted in camp.
  • No illegal substances are permitted on the property.
  • No open fires. Above-ground fires of charcoal BBQ or wood in metal containers are OK, weather conditions permitting.
  • No alcoholic beverages are permitted on the ranges.
  • No smoking is permitted on the shooting ranges. 
  • Adults are responsible for the conduct of their children.
  • Children may not carry sharp dangerous objects (knives, hawks, etc.) without adult supervision.
  • LEAVE NO TRACE - Clean up your camp before you leave and PLEASE TAKE YOUR GARBAGE HOME with you.
ALL TRAIL WALKS RULES
Juniors are under 18 years old. Pee Wees are under 12 years old.
  • Write your name and shooter number on your scorecard before starting the trail walk.
  • Range masters are on duty for gun problems or trail walk help.
  • Load from powder measure only! DO NOT LOAD from horn, flask, or can.
  • Cap or prime on the firing line only! Do not leave firing line if you have a hang fire or misfire until the problem is resolved.
  • Use patched round ball. No greased patches.
  • Open iron sights only. No shaders or sight hoods. 
  • Keep loaded guns pointed down range.
  • Shooter must call all multiple point targets before a shot is taken.
  • The range master for the event will handle competitor challenges/disputes.
  • Other items will be decided by the rendezvous committee and that decision will be final.
  • NMLRA Rules, 1987 edition will prevail except where preempted by SVML club rules or SVML Rendezvous rules.
  • Eye and ear protection is recommended for all participants, and required for Peewee’s.
RIFLE TRAIL WALK RULES
  • All shots are off-hand and behind the shooting stake unless otherwise posted.
  • Cap or prime on the firing line only!
  • Fire Start tinder will be provided by SVML. Flint must be natural stone.
  • Steel must be iron or steel and not half-soled. No other materials are permitted.
  • Char cloth must be free from combustion-promoting agents of any kind.
PISTOL TRAIL WALK RULES
  • All shots are off-hand. 
  • Percussion Revolver Shooters will load one chamber only at each shooting station.
PEEWEE RIFLE TRAIL WALK RULES  (Trail Walk is at the Pistol Range)
  • Pee Wees must use cross-sticks or fence rails.
  • Pee Wees must be supervised and accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • Pee Wees MUST wear eye and ear protection while on the Trail Walk.
