Parched Corn - A Frontier Staple

Photo Source: www.offgrid.com. Full post can be read here.
Parched corn was a trekking staple for explorers of the trackless forrest. It is historically signifigant since it keeps well, and can easily included with your period correct trekking kit in its closest living descendant, Corn Nuts. Remove them from their 21st century packaging and store it in a clean, cloth bag. At the end of the Rhondezvous, snack on them on your journey home. Please don't keep them for the next season, as the oil will turn rancid.

Townsends published two posts on parched corn, and they are fun to watch. I have found their videos to be some of the best I've seen.
