Highlights From The 2023 Trek

The Threats Included Snakes

Greetings!

The Fall Rendezvous was not the huge event we had hoped for but it was fun for those who attended.  We had 21 campers, 15 of which did one or more events, 2 Trek teams and 11 club members who were present at one time or another.  The weather was nice, though a little nippy in the morning.  Special thanks to Bob Copner for running the Registration booth on Friday and Jim Jefferies for doing it on Saturday, and to Ken for helping me with the final details that needed to be done, on Wednesday and throughout the weekend.  And a big shout out to the two Terry’s, Tom J, Jeff, Ken, Scott (and Scott’s friend who’s name I have forgotten) for helping with the tear down Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning

Mountain Man Of The Year: Congratulations to Tim Swan for winning the first  MMOTY award. His winning score was determined by combining the aggregates scores from the three Spring and Three Fall Trail Walks (rifle, pistol, hawk and knife) . Additional points were awarded for participating in the Trek.

Legend has it that if Tim shows up in your camp carrying the MMOTY tankard, campers are obligated to slake his thirst with a luscious libation. Be hospitable and keep this tradition alive by offering up your best libation!

Just a reminder that the Yolla Bolly Rendezvous coming up. If you're interested in attending, a PDF of the details can be downloaded by clicking on the link that you can find in the sidebar of this blog. Certainly one of of the best attended rendezvous in Northern California, it attracts shooters from far and wide. It is the way rendezvous used to be, and with you participation, can continue.
